~ Description of the program

H2B is a program which provides seasonal work in the USA. You can choose between winter and summer seasonal work. Most of the job positions offered are connected to tourist services (in hotels, restaurants, amusement parks, water parks), but there are also other positions in construction, landscaping etc.

Seasonal workers hold a special document, which enables them to apply for an H2B visa, and to reside and work legally in the USA. This document is known as the Petition (I-129 Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker) and is issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services at the request of American employers who wish to hire foreign workers for the respective season. The nationality of the workers and the working period are stated in the Petition.

~ Who can take part in the program?

For a seasonal worker it is not mandatory to be a full-time student, but it is required that applicants speak English at an intermediate or higher level, and are 18-35 years of age. Young people with previous experience in the same program are also welcome to participate!

~ How much does it cost and what does the program fee include?

The program fee varies depending on the job offer you choose. It is payable in two parts: deposit - after getting approval for partricipation, and payment – after recieving the Petition.

THE PROGRAM FEE INCLUDES:

• The I-129 Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, which allows participants to reside and work legally in the United States, and is necessary when applying for an H2B visa
• A set of all application forms required for the visa interview
• Assistance provided by our team throughout the program
• Organizing the trip to USA (some of the employers also provide free airport-accommodation transfer)
• 24h Telephone Help Line in Bulgaria
• Assistance provided by our team during your stay in the USA

THE PROGRAM FEE DOES NOT INCLUDE:

• Visa interview fee - 140 USD
• Airplane ticket
• Medical insurance

~ Step By Step

Step 1: Registration

Registration is made in person and is free of charge. You have to fill in a registration form and answer a few questions. You can either register at the office, or online at: www.mytravel-bg.com

Step 2: Enrollment

Enrolling for the program can be done after getting approval for eligibility. Within 24h after you have registered, you will recieve an email from us inviting you to visit our office and submit the necessary documents:

• CV (in English);
• 2 passport-size photos
• a copy of your international passport (the page which contains your personal information and photo);
• a copy of each previous US visa (if any);
• a copy of your high school diploma (or a copy of your diploma from university, if you have graduated);
• if you are a full-, or a part-time student, you will need to submit your student book plus a copy of all pages which contain information. (The original is just for comparison!);

If you comply with the eligibility requirements, you get approved for the program.

Step 3: Deposit

After you have been approved for the program, and you have submitted all of the required documents, you pay the program deposit and become an actual participant. The deposit is 300 USD and is deductible from the program fee. At the time you pay the deposit you also sign a participant agreement.

Step 4: Interview with the American employer

Some employers require a personal interview with each participant (in some cases the interview may be conducted by phone). If all goes well, you sign the contract.

Step 5: I-129 and Payment

After we recieve the Petition, you pay the rest of the program fee. The amount varies depending on the job-offer you have chosen.

Step 6: Visa Application

At this stage you are ready to prepare the documents for the visa interview. Our team will assist you to fill in the visa application forms and will then process them further. Now's the time to book the airplane ticket.

Step 7: Airplane Ticket

If you have reached this step, you already have an H2B visa in your passport :) You buy the airplane ticket and prepare for your American adventure :)
